"Allow me to ladle you a piping hot bowl of This is How It Is."

So guys it is time to get this cheerios outfits out of the cupboards and prepared to be Slushied. Yes! Tonight is the UK season premier of Glee (and only two days after the states too) So this blog is to celebrate all things Glee. So with the finale of the Glee Project only being aired a week ago here, it leaves us little time to speculate over who or what the characters will be, but I have exclusive gossip about this so hold onto your hats fellow gleeks.

Damian will be the first of the winners to debut on the show. We hear he'll be making his grand entrance around episode four, while co-winner Samuel won't show up until episode nine. As for Damian, he'll be playing the part of Rory, a foreign exchange student who moves in with Brittany's family. A rumour that is running about is that Brittany will believe that Rory is a leprechaun. Samuel Larsohowever, won't be arriving until mid-season, most likely in the ninth episode. This puts a stop to my theory that he's going to be Quinn's new summer fling from Bible Camp, but given Ryan Murphy's desire to have an alternative Christian character, I'm sure Samuel will be singing for the Lord in the second half of Glee season 3.

Glee will develop into "more surreal and hilarious" plot-lines in Season 3, as the show's producer expressed disbelief at unfounded support for recent episodes such as "A Night of Neglect" and "Funeral".

Will and Emma will be getting hot action according to Brad but will beginning the series single.

This year, the thing that’s different is we’re doing a lot of stories with characters that people love but don’t know a lot about. There will always be huge stories with Lea. There will always be huge storylines with Chris Colfer. But like I want to know more about Tina and Mike and Mercedes.

There is supposedly a great storyline planned for Sue which will involve the Glee Project winner who will become the person Sue has hated the most in the entire history of her life.

Idina Menzel will pop up in the second episode of the season as a new teacher. She's bringing with her some emotional baggage for both Quinn and Rachel, the latter of which we've learned has a duet coming up that will be super emotional. Lea Michelle said "We left on a touchy note, but they have a great relationship and I think – from what I’ve heard from Ryan Murphy I’m going to be working with her a lot in a very positive way. As her mother, she’s going to help Rachel a lot this year … They've already done a fabulous duet that if you’re a crier, get the tissues out because I bawled the entire time. I know we have some great story lines together.” As for Quinn, the arrival of Shelby Corcoran opens up two old wounds: giving up her daughter and giving up on her baby daddy, Puck. We sense a lot of Quick scenes coming your way early on in the season. Also, though she hasn't been spotted back in a Cheerios uniform yet, we also hear Quinn will be back playing for Team Sue in a special way. Jane Lynch teased: “Quinn is having an identity crisis and I get her to go to the dark side for a little while."

Finn/Rachel will continue into season 3 as a couple.

It has been confirmed that a 2 hour made-for-television movie will occur during season 3. This will be the only tribute episode of the season. While it has not been confirmed, possible candidates for the tribute episode include Maroon 5, ABBA, and the Beatles.

Santana's coming out storyline will continue. Ryan Murphy stated that "I do think it's sort of unreasonable to think the world treats gay people like they do with Kurt, where his father embraces him and his classmates all embrace him. He was bullied, yes, but for the most part he is allowed to be free and wonderful in the world and that doesn't happen to everybody who is gay." So I am assuming that Santana's parents are not so welcoming with the news.

The Glee bosses revealed at Paleyfest that they are thinking about doing an episode where everyone sings their lines of dialogue.

Quinn might have a new romance this season.

Sue wont be friendly for long. She will eventually try to destroy the Glee Club again.

Ian Brennan said that we will see more of the McKinley hockey team and that they will explore in-depth the phenomenon that is Ohio hockey.

Cory Monteith gave a few hints at what the big story lines will be in Glee's third season. "There's gonna be a lot of transitions happening," he admits. "Rachel's eyes are very much set on New York when we leave season two and Finn is very interested in rebuilding a relationship with her. It's gonna be those challenges - does she go to New York? Does she stay? That's what season three is gonna be all about."

"I think it's going to be interesting to see Mr Schuester's role - whether he pursues his Broadway dream or whether he stays at McKinley High." Ian Brennan said that season 4 will not be an entirely new cast (he can't remember who's a junior or a senior in season 3) but we will definitely see Emma, Will, Sue, and possibly Brittany because she might have trouble graduating.

Dave and Santana also have some "mileage" in their story lines. Sue has been confirmed to be running for congress.

The theme of the season is 'Goodbyes' and that New Directions is 'going their own separate ways'.

Chris Colfer is campaigning madly for one storyline in particular. It involves Blaine. It is rumoured that this storyline involves Kurt having sex with Blaine for the first time.

Quinn, Puck, Rachel and Finn will be graduating this season.Source Ian is considering introducing 'Internationals' this series. He wants it to be set in Paris. Source Story-lines are getting a new format. Instead of lasting a single episode, stories will be told in a SERIAL format.

So Gleeks, what do you think? Are you excited for the next season? I know I am!

A sequel is an admission that you've been reduced to imitating yourself

By the looks of it 2012 is going to be the year of the sequel or remake. As a film fanatic, I am not amused by this as you probably realised by my post Why, oh why must these film companies take everything too far and try and gain as much money as they do from overusing ideas. I mean there are sooooooooooo many ideas that could still be done but they decide to reinvent and add to films already made.

Anyway, moving on from this, there are lots coming out in the next year and this blog will look at some of the films that have the potential to be okay and that I will probably end up going to see anyway.

American Pie 4

While details are still early, we are told that Seann William Scott is on board again, as is Jason Biggs, Chris Klein and Tara Reid. Matter of fact, the entire cast and crew is back for the newest American Pie Movie, and it's about time to be honest. After the disaster ofmsome of the recent spin offs that have been created American Pie 4 or Family Reunion as it is looking to be named should hopefully bring it back to it's best. In American Pie 4, the friends are all in their 30′s now, and we can assume the story will be centered around Jim and Michelle’s pregnancy. The friends all reunite for the birth and a weekend of memories, when all hell breaks loose.

Men in Black 3

The MIB duo of Agent Jay (Will Smith) and Agent Kay (Tommy Lee Jones) are back in action. When the world is threatened by an evil alien, Agent Jay travels back in time to 1969, where he teams up with the younger Agent Kay to stop an evil villain named Boris (Jemaine Clement) from destroying the world in the future. Emma Thompson will play take-charge MIB operative Agent Oh, who is monitoring a prison breakout. My only concern is will the fact it is 3D, will they be trying to hard to make money and taking away from the content of the film?

Madagascar 3

Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, and Melman the Giraffe are still fighting to get home to their beloved Big Apple and of course, King Julien, Maurice and the Penguins are all along for the comedic adventure. Their journey takes them through Europe where they find the perfect cover: a traveling circus, which they reinvent – Madagascar style. Katzenberg also said that Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa will probably spawn a sequel: “There is at least one more chapter. We ultimately want to see the characters make it back to New York.” But does anyone really care about a third Madagascar film? While I certainly understand the New York return story being a neat third act of the series, I’d much rather see a spin-off following the adventures of the penguins.

Ice Age 4

It was only a matter of time before this film got made. In "Ice Age: Continental Drift," Scrat's nutty pursuit of the cursed acorn, which he's been after since the dawn of time, has world-changing consequences -- a continental cataclysm that triggers the greatest adventure of all for Manny, Diego and Sid. In the wake of these earth-shattering upheavals, Sid reunites with his long lost family, and the gang encounters a ragtag menagerie of colorful new characters determined to stop them from returning home.

The Dark Knight Rises

Director Nolan was initially hesitant about returning to the series for a third time, but agreed to come back after developing a story with his brother and David Goyer that he felt would conclude the series on a satisfactory note. Filming has taken place across the world, including locations in India, London, Glasgow, Los Angeles, New York, and Pittsburgh. Nolan is opting to utilize IMAX cameras for more of the filming to optimize the quality of the picture. As with The Dark Knight, viral marketing campaigns began early during production to help promote the upcoming film. The Dark Knight Rises is scheduled for release in the United States and Canada on July 20, 2012, by Warner Bros.

Monsters Inc 2

The film has a University theme to it, but instead of Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) and James P. Sullivan (John Goodman) going back to school as professors (as some of the past reports speculated) this movie will be an origins tale. Crystal and Goodman are coming back as college years Sully and Mike. "The sequel will tell the story of Mike and Sully's first meeting at school. They couldn't stand each other, but they overcame their differences to become friends."

The Ring 3D

THR says that David Loucka, the writer behind the Daniel Craig film Dream House, has been hired to write. He’ll likely work under producers Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald, who produced the previous two US films in the series. Originally a DreamWorks series, rights to The Ring were left with Paramount when the two companies split. This is the first news on Ring activity since that point. All we know is that this chapter would “seek to reinvent the franchise” and that it is said to be “teen-centric.” Again, big surprise there. There’s no director set at this point and don’t expect to see Naomi Watts returning. And at this point we’re far enough removed from the last two films that there’s probably no point in wondering whether this will fit in as a continuation; it could well just trade on the basic premise. (For the record, the first US version was better than it had any right to be, but I can barely for the life of me remember seeing the second.) Given that the original premise involved a videotape that seemed to trigger the deaths of viewers seven days after they watched it, the obvious question is: what to do with the story now that few people actually have VHRs at home? Make it nostalgic, and rather like Scream? We don’t know, but THR says “one potential scenario involves teens finding a VHS player that still works.” I think that’s rather absurd — they’re not that rare.

I know, there are so many films coming out in 2012 and these are just the sequels. I think next year I may have to invest in an unlimited cinema card just so that I can see everything that is coming out.

“I will never be the woman with the perfect hair, who can wear white and not spill on it.”

So girls, it is time to grab your Jimmy Choo's out of the walk in wardrobe and grab your best girlfriends round for some cosmopolitans. Yep, that's right! The Sex and the City franchise is once again coming back to a screen near you, not just on TV (they are looking for a new outlet to be able to launch the series) but they are also planning on making a Prequel of the girls during their teenage days.

Candace Bushnell, who wrote the books that the series was based off of, has apparently stated that there are some people that she thinks would be ideal for certain roles within the film. “You know, I don’t know… casting is like kismet. I’m going to get into trouble for this, but I was looking at some pictures of Selena Gomez today and thinking she’d make a really good young Charlotte. She’s so pretty. I was like… gosh, wouldn’t she be great?” she recently stated.

Other people who are speculated to take the part of the loveable characters alongside Selena Gomez are Blake Lively as Samantha Jones, Emma Roberts (neice of Julia Roberts) as Miranda Hobbes and Elizabeth Olsen as Carrie Bradshaw, although this is yet to be confirmed. Now, after searching through the web I have found some information about some of the characters for anyone who is interested.

the girls rumoured to be playing the characters
SAMANTHA
WHO: Blake Lively, 23 - made her name in Gossip Girl
BACKGROUND: Originally in a long-term relationship before going on the rampage, steady Samantha looks after a young Carrie when she first arrives in New York, showing her the ropes
THE LOOK: Think Eighties power dressing, shoulder pads and big hair.

CHARLOTTE
WHO: Selena Gomez, 19 - Disney star and girlfriend of Justin Bieber
BACKGROUND: Barely featured in the prequel books although she is sure to appear more frequently in the films, author Candace said of Selena: 'She’d make a really good young Charlotte’
THE LOOK: Good girl, fresh- faced
resemblance here is uncanny?
MIRANDA
WHO: Emma Roberts, 20 - niece of Julia, starred in Scream 4
BACKGROUND: Politically minded Miranda meets Carrie while she is protesting outside department store Barneys. The young Miss Bradshaw is on a shopping spree... Cue differences of opinion
THE LOOK: Think lobbyist, student grunge

CARRIE
WHO: Elizabeth Olsen, 22 - younger sister of twins Ashley and Mary-Kate
BACKGROUND: Originally from the Midwest, a young Miss Bradshaw travels to New York as an aspiring writer - minus the Manolos, the girlfriends and tangled romances
THE LOOK: Already noticed for her individual sense of style, expect the usual combos

Although, this prequel idea is something fresh and new for the series, which after nearly two decades of books and around 94 TV episodes, is still running very strong, many fans are not happy with this development...

Is it ever the end?

Now, don't get me wrong, I loved The Last Exorcism, but isn't that the point. That it is THE last one. So baring this in mind, why are the producers determined to make a sequel, isn't this taking it too far.

After the original film made more money than they thought it would (grossing $62.5 million worldwide) especially since it was made on the tiny budget of $1.6 million, is this sequel being made due to the profitability?  If this is the case, surely the film won't be as good.

Is anything ever final in the world of film?

Surely, by making this film they are going to have to create a whole new cast as everything was completed with the previous one? So Damien Chazelle may have a bit of a challenge whilst writing the script for the film which is due out in 2012.

It seems as if The Last Exorcism is going to follow in the footsteps of other "horror" films and join the ranks of  The Final Destination, Freddy's Dead: The final Nightmare and Friday the 13th Part 4 and proving once again that nothing is ever final.

My question is, with all this in consideration are they going to re-release the first one and call it The Penultimate Exorcism and cash in on even more money...?

General Update

I know not many people read this but for the few people I know do I will update and explain my new plan for my blog. It will be brief but it will do the job I am aiming for.

Part One:
I have just started my new job so I'm not sure how much time I will have to update with 2 jobs and Uni away to start back soon.

Part Two:
I am thinking about changing my blog so that it is solely based on films and TV series updates, spoilers and whatever bits I can get my hands on.

Part Three:
I am now a self confessed Gleek.

and that will be all for this blog.

See ya later, allegators.
