Is it ever the end?

Now, don't get me wrong, I loved The Last Exorcism, but isn't that the point. That it is THE last one. So baring this in mind, why are the producers determined to make a sequel, isn't this taking it too far.

After the original film made more money than they thought it would (grossing $62.5 million worldwide) especially since it was made on the tiny budget of $1.6 million, is this sequel being made due to the profitability?  If this is the case, surely the film won't be as good.

Is anything ever final in the world of film?

Surely, by making this film they are going to have to create a whole new cast as everything was completed with the previous one? So Damien Chazelle may have a bit of a challenge whilst writing the script for the film which is due out in 2012.

It seems as if The Last Exorcism is going to follow in the footsteps of other "horror" films and join the ranks of  The Final Destination, Freddy's Dead: The final Nightmare and Friday the 13th Part 4 and proving once again that nothing is ever final.

My question is, with all this in consideration are they going to re-release the first one and call it The Penultimate Exorcism and cash in on even more money...?
