And the winner is....

My friend Laura has inspired me to write a blog since it has been a while and I have a few things to update on which I am quite excited about.

First being I PASSED MY EXAMS!!! After weeks of worrying I finally got my grades back and I passed both English and film with enough to carry them on in Honours, so I'm very excited.

Anyway, I have decided to pursue my dream of working within the film industry and have inquired about a night course at Aberdeen College doing video editing. I am going to work on some mini films and videos with some friends too, so that I can have a collection of work for my portfolio. I want to become the next Tarantino, Hitchcock or Cameron.
Another huge event in the film industry was the 83rd Annual Academy Awards - the Oscars. There was an amazing video posted of Anne Hathaway and James Franco before the show with a performance they did which created high expectation of what was to come, but let many people down when it came to the main show(featured below).
Everyone knows that I am a huge fan of The King's Speech so I was thrilled Colin Firth finally got the Oscar he deserved. I couldn't believe it when I was told he hadn't won one for any of his previous roles. Although I agree with this win, some of the others I did not like Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress. I thoroughly enjoyed the film The Fighter however I did not think that it was deserving of the award.

Ramble over for now fellow bloggers. Til next time....

Absolutely amazing.
